Girl goes Outbackwards at the end of February. By a strange association, the tour title made me think of Consolidated Skateboards. Weird, huh? I’ll explain: Girl Skateboards…Outbackwards Tour…Out…Backwards…breech birth…child birth…the infamous “Congratulations! It’s a Man” graphic by Consolidated…Consolidated. In any case, Outbackwards is a Girl Skateboards Tour from Auckland, New Zealand, starting on Feb. 19th, to Hobart, Tasmania, ending on Feb. 28th. In between, they’ll be stopping in Australia (see events and dates below) for demos and even two Where the Wild Things Are Exhibitions. If you’re around, make it out. This week’s videographic entry arrives via a random edit of Tony Karr, Lem Villeman, Benny Fairfax, Cesar Fernandez, and a buttery Clint Peterson doing what skateboarder’s do best. Enjoy the digital age. On a separate note, that’s one crispy kickflip.
