SKBSG NEWS UPDATES

Check out this preview of the Maloof Money Cup NYC (June 5-6) course with Geoff Rowley, Steve Rodriguez and Joe Maloof. NY Skate Filmer Steve Marino shot it. Geoff and Steve take you to Flushing Meadows Corona Park, Queens and the Astral Fountain where the MMC street course is under construction. You’ll also see a rendering of the NY course design, which replicates (as closely as possible) top skate spots from each of the city’s five boroughs. The MMC street course will be donated to the city after the event.

Here’s some footage of Austyn testing his new signature am wheel, “Austyn’s Almonds,” in the streets of S.F., where he is now happily residing. No flat spots ever. Filmed and edited by John Morse. Music by Austyn Gillette.

Independent filmmaker Chris Mulhern has set up a Web site where you can order his latest film This Time Tomorrow on DVD. There’s also a 10-minute edit on the site with leftover footage. Jimmy McDonald pretty much has a full part at the end. Check it out.
